Funding
The CHCT is totally reliant on external funding to carry out its charitable work.
We fundraise to support a number of social and therapeutic projects and activities for staff and past and present patients.
These include:
- Gardening and nature based activities.
- Counselling and wellbeing support for nurses through the Eileen Skellern Award.
- Better Lives Outreach programme for past patients. Sponsoring weekly activities, such as visits to galleries and museums for outreach patients which enables them to meet with clinical staff and former patients in a social setting. This encourages them to ease their transition back into their daily lives, giving them confidence and a support network after they have left the hospital.
- Funding groundbreaking research to produce evidence-based data that will lead to innovation and the development of improved care and treatments.
