Become a Friend of the Cassel Hospital Charitable Trust

The Cassel Hospital is a pioneer in the treatment of severe mental illness. It has been part of the community in Ham since 1948.

The Cassel Hospital Charitable Trust raises money to provide additional support to hospital patients and staff. As we are a volunteer-run charity, all of the funds we raise are spent on specific initiatives to promote patient recovery and nurse wellbeing.

Examples of these initiatives include:

  • Skills and enrichment activities to help patients transition back into regular life
Professional support and counselling for Cassel nurses
  • Therapeutic gardening programme for patients
  • Groundbreaking research into mental health, in partnership with two universities
  • Training and education to assist past patients into paid employment as experts by experience.

In becoming a Friend, your contribution will directly fund initiatives like these and help patients lead better and more fulfilling lives.

Friends will also receive

  • A bi-annual newsletter and an annual Impact Report
  • Invitations to special events, including a screening of the Cassel Centenary documentary film and annual events.
